Virgin Atlantic has won its claim in a UK Court of Appeal that Delta Air Lines has infringed its patent with the use of its flat-bed seat. This is the end of a long running dispute between Virgin Atlantic, Delta and airline seating company Contour, relating to the use of the Solar Eclipse seat. Virgin Atlantic said in a statement it is “delighted” with the result. Delta has fitted all its London Heathrow flights with flat-bed seats. The airline could go to the Supreme Court to appeal to decision.
