Foreign airlines will have to provide full passenger information before entering Vietnam following a new decree to take effect from June 1.  Decree 27/2011/ND-CP requires airlines to provide each passenger’s name, date of birth, sex, nationality and passport number. The decree also regulates that detailed information must be provided on the flight crew, airline, flight number, name of the airline and its schedule for entering and leaving the country. All of the information must be forwarded to Vietnam as passengers and crew complete procedures to board the plane.
