UK issues temporary ban on PIA cargo flights

The UK government has temporarily banned PIA from operating cargo flights into UK airports, and by extension the entire EU, as the ban is automatically accepted by other EU member states. PIA spokesperson Mashhood Tajwar said: “We are contesting their decision. Our officials met British counterparts in London today to try and figure out what has happened.” The airline’s cargo operation was previously validated by UK authorities, but after a subsequent inspection earlier this month, a ban was imposed.
