Former Ryanair Captain, John Goss, who was sacked by the airline in August 2013 days after he appeared in a television programme making defamatory allegations regarding Ryanair’s commitment to safety, has lost his unfair dismissal action at the Employment Appeals Tribunal (EAT). Goss, who had worked for the airline for 26 years, alleged he was unfairly dismissed for “gross misconduct”.
