Australian airline Regional Express has lost its case against Dubbo City Council over the introduction of passenger security screening at Dubbo Regional Airport in 2013. The airline objected to the costs of the screening being passed-on to airline operators at the airport. Dubbo mayor Matthew Dickerson said: “This judgment confirms Dubbo City Council acted lawfully and the fees applied to both Regional Express and Qantaslink can be legitimately claimed.” The council advised it would review the judgment in full.
