Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) are urging the European Commission to improve complaint procedures and eradicate unfair pricing conditions in a bid to reinforce passenger rights. A new report on passenger rights drafted by the Transport and Tourism Committee said that passengers “must have swift information, help in the event of service disruptions and non-discriminatory access for persons with reduced mobility to protect their rights.” The need for better assistance for stranded air passengers through information points and help desks set up in airports by all airlines servicing a given airport was highlighted.
