IATA figures show international premium traffic rose 10.9% in October, while the annualized rate is around 7%-8% demonstrating the strong demand for business travel. October economy class traffic was also up by 7.6% for the month but business travel remains the main growth driver. Africa to Southwest Pacific routes show the most demand, which rose 34.3% year-over-year, while Middle East-Far East routes grew by 22.4% and Southwest Pacific routes were up 21.2%. North Atlantic routes showed an 8.9% increase in premium traffic, while European traffic saw a “sharp reduction in the rate of growth for October to 6.4%”.
