Greece and Israel are due to sign an aviation treaty this morning that will replace an existing agreement from 1952. The agreement, which will be signed by Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman and Greek Foreign Minister Dimitris Droutsas, covers areas such the licensing of one additional air carriers in Greece and one Israel that are allowed to fly to each other’s destinations, as well as rules for setting air rates; establishing procedures for settling disputes through negotiations or arbitration; establishing a schedule of routes;  setting up guidelines for mutual criticism over the implementation agreement, as well as other subjects.
