Meridiana fly and sister carrier Air Italy are being investigated by the Italian civil aviation authority, Ente Nazionale per l’Aviazione Civile (ENAC), following a series of incidents with each operators’ aircraft. A Meridiana fly MD-82 suffered a hydraulic failure in its landing gear during approach into Olbia, while an Air Italy 737-800 suffered such a hard-landing at Verona airport.
