Several jagged pieces of metal are alleged to have fallen off a TAAG Airline 777 aircraft following take off from Lisbon airport. Witnesses stated they saw small pieces of metal fall from the aircraft which damaged several cars. The TAAG aircraft returned to Lisbon airport soon after takeoff due to a mechanical problem at around the same time as the debris was reported. It has not been confirmed if the two incidents were related. Portuguese investigators are investigating the incident.
