The European Commission has closed a state aid investigation into Poste Italian’s €75 million investment in Alitalia. The Commission said that: “Evidence gathered by the Commission in the investigation suggests that Poste Italiane carried out an investment under the same terms and conditions as two private operators who were in a comparable situation.” Two unnamed complainants failed to submit any further comments within a set timeframe, so the case has been closed.
