Light aircraft specialist Atlantis Armenian Airlines had its operator’s certificate suspended by the country’s  Civil Aviation Committee (CAC) on August 11 for seven months. Karen Gyurjyan, head of the CAC’s Airworthiness Department, told local media outlet Hetq that the problem was not a flight safety issue but a financial one. An audit by regulators found financial problems leading to the suspension. Gyurjyan also said that he had revoked the airworthiness certificates of Atlantis European Airways (AEA) aircraft based on the suspension of the operator’s license.
