Airport Authority of India reports profit for the first time since pandemic

The Airport Authority of India (AAI) has reported a profit of INR 34 billon in the FY 2022-23 reporting its first profit post-pandemic. According to sources, this is a provisional figure and the final figure will be known after the audit of the financial results. AAI had reported a loss on INR 8.03bn in FY2021-22 and INR 31.37bn in 2022-21. In 2021-22, AAI had a meagre profit of INR 80 million, including exceptional items and tax.
