Airbus has filed two affidavits with the Federal Court in Sydney relating to the lawsuit between Qantas and rolls-Royce. The European manufacturer also filed a motion yesterday morning to ask the court to keep secret contracts it made with Qantas. Qantas is suing Rolls-Royce for damages caused by the explosion of one of its Trent 900 engines installed on a Qantas A380s in November. Qantas claims that written advice from Rolls-Royce in 2000 and 2001 was ”misleading or deceptive” because the engines it bought contained a defect.
