Air India has been fined $12,000 by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), India’s civil regulatory body, for failure to comply with certain consumer protection guidelines. Following inspections at Bangalore, Delhi and Kochi airports in May and September 2023, Air India was deemed to have failed to have provided hotel accommodation for passengers affected by delays.
