PAL unveils a $1bn aircraft acquisition plan as Chinese airlines sink, leading to Air China share suspension

New Chinese start-up carrier, Yunnan Hongtu Airlines, has begun operations with the launch of its Kunming-Nanchang on Saturday. The route was served by an A321 aircraft, with 203 passengers on board. The airline has two A321s in its fleet and will take delivery of a further four before the end of the year.
