Spanish airline Vueling Airlines is allowed to charge passengers for checked baggage even though there is a Spanish law preventing airlines from levying the extra fee. Advocate General Yves Bot provided a nonbinding opinion that the Spanish law should not prevent the airline from charging customers the fee because it is incompatible with EU law. The European Court of Justice will make the final ruling, however.
