Airlines are expecting a busy week of air travel this week and over the Thanksgiving holiday. The number of people flying each day during the holiday season is estimated to be between 1.3 million to 2.5 million – a 4% rise over 2009 figures.
The airline industry trade association, Air Transport Association of America (ATA), expects a total of 24 million passengers to fly during the 12 day Thanksgiving holiday period, from Friday, November 19 through Tuesday, November 30.
