Some 211 Trans World Airlines flight attendants have been recalled. The attendants were placed on furlough following the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
American Airlines bought TWA just months before 9/11. The airline said that the recall of former TWA attendants would "ensure we remain adequately staffed throughout this [bankruptcy] process."
