It has been reported that Ryanair plans to use its 29% stake to vote against re-election of David Begg, the General Secretary of the Irish Congress of Trades Unions, to the board of Aer Lingus. The same was attempted last year and Begg was only saved from being voted off by the intervention of the Irish Government, thanks to its 25% stake.
