Joint fuel purchases for African airlines

African airlines are considering joint fuel purchases to help them reduce their overall fuel cost burden. The measure was discussed at the 43rd annual general assembly of the African Airlines Association (AFRAA) held from November 20-22 in Marrakech, and it is expected to be implemented next year.

Zest Airways, the Philippine carrier, is targeting growth of passenger volume by more than 50% this year. The airline is also planning to add more international flights.
