Wizz Air is to fly three times a week between London Luton Airport and Amman, it said on December 14.
The Hungarian carrier, which claims to be Europe’s "fastest growing and most environmentally sustainable airline globally", said the new route would follow recent additions from London Luton, such as Prague, Sharm El Shiekh and Tallinn.
Nayaf Al Fayez, Jordan's tourism minister, said the connection would highlight "the many positive attractions that the country has to offer.
