Garuda Indonesia will expand short-range and high-density domestic routes this year when it receives its five sub-100 Bombardier CRJ1000 NextGen aircraft from September.
The move will bring it into direct completion with Merpati Nusantara Airlines, whose president director Capt. Sardjono Jhony has indicated that he was ready to compete with any airline in the country, including Garuda.
