Finnair has bought a minority shareholder in Helsinki-based cargo airline Nordic Global Airlines (NGA). Finnair is hoping the deal will give it additional, cost-efficient cargo capacity for use especially in Asian freight markets.
The new airline aims to commence intercontinental freighter operations from Helsinki later this year.
US-based Neff Capital Management and the Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company are the other owners of GLA.
