Egyptian authorities are carrying out closer screening of airline passengers from six Arab nations, including Yemen, after the discovery of bombs sent through airline cargo from that country. Authorities at the Cairo airport are now using bomb-sniffing dogs and carrying out manual inspections of mailed packages. The extended measures are now in effect and target nationals from six Arab countries, including Yemen and Somalia, other countries were not specified.
