It has been revealed that Cityjet received a €41 million cash injection for 41.1 million ordinary shares from Air France Finance, a unit of owner Air France, on the same day Air France-KLM received a firm offer from Intro Aviation to buy the Irish carrier.
The sale of Cityjet to Intro Aviation is poised to complete. Intro Aviation plans to continue to operate Cityjet as an Irish-UK standalone airline and focus on fleet renewal from next year.
