China's Spring Airlines to purchase 30 Airbus A320neo aircraft

China’s Spring Airlines has signed an agreement with Airbus to purchase 30 A320neo family aircraft, with deliveries scheduled between 2028 and 2032.

The aircraft carry a combined list price of approximately $4.1bn, although Spring Airlines said the actual purchase price will be lower following commercial negotiations.

The agreement was signed on December 29 and has been approved by the airline’s board of directors, but remains subject to shareholder and government approval, according to a stock exchange filing.

Funding for the aircraft will be provided through a combination of internal resources, bank loans, and other financing arrangements.

Spring Airlines said the order is intended to support long-term capacity growth, optimise fleet structure, and improve operating efficiency and market competitiveness.
