The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has reported that Chinese airlines carried up to 49.2 million passengers during the 40-day Spring Festival or Chunyun Period from February 4 to March 15, an increase of 11.7% compared to the same period last year. There was a 9.3% increase in flights during the period, with 11.4% more seats available.
