UK private airline, BMI Regional, is considering replacing up to five aircraft in its fleet with larger aircraft types to carry between 80-100 passengers.
Chief commercial officer, Jochen Schnadt, confirmed the strategy was “under active consideration” but that no order for leased or purchased aircraft has yet been placed.
“We would see them as a replacement of existing aircraft where markets justify the deployment of larger aircraft, but would also see them as a growth vehicle,” Schnadt told the Daily Telegraph.
