Air India has announced plans to increase its fleet of aircraft to 272 from its current size of 135 aircraft by the end of 2015. The additional aircraft will be added via operating leases, which will constitute 40% of the fleet by 2015, compared with 15% now.
The increased fleet will require around 1,500 extra cabin crew.
