Calgary-based WestJet HAS appointed Billy Nolen to the role of Vice-President, safety, security and quality effective from Billy February 24 this year.   Nolen will report to Ed Sims, WestJet President and chief executive, and will be responsible for the strategic direction of all safety, security and quality related activities across the WestJet group.Nolen joins from Qantas Airways Limited, where he was executive manager, of group safety and health, responsible for the safety performance of the Qantas Group. Prior to his role on the Australian carrier, Billy served in a senior role for safety and security for American Airlines.
