German travel conglomerate TUI Group said Pieter Jordaan has moved from chief technology officer to chief information officer. The appointment took effect on January 1, TUI said in a January 6 statement, Jordaan, a South African, has been with the business for eight years and will lead the IT team in his new job, TUI announced. Jordaan will focus on “new products such as Accommodation Only and Flight Only”, as well as the TUI phone app, the group said, with Sebastian Ebel, the chief executive, adding Jordaan would “enable a quick and efficient implementation of our ambitious digitisation strategy”.
