Southwest Airlines has promoted Lauren Woods from vice president of technology to senior vice president and chief information officer. Cornell University graduate Woods has been with the carrier for 13 years and “has led key initiatives” across its technology department, including establishing cloud infrastructure and creating a new development and delivery platform for complex application ecosystems.
