Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company (HAECO) has appointed a new interim chief executive officer following the resignation of Augustus Tang who took the role of CEO at Hong Kong’s flagship carrier Cathay Pacific. HAECO, which like Cathay Pacific is also under the Swire Group, has moved to appoint Summit Chan Ching as the company’s interim CEO – he had most recently been the head of HAECO’s Xiamen unit. Tang, who was the CEO for more than 10 years, moved to Cathay following the resignation of Rupert Hogg amid controversies surrounding the city’s anti-extradition law crisis.
