Atlas Air announced that current chief operating officer, John Dietrich, will become chief executive officer effective January 1, 2020. Dietrich has more than 30 years experience in the aviation industry, including more than 20 years at Atlas Air. He has been COO since 2006. Atlas announced that current CEO, Bill Flynn will retire from Atlas on January 1, 2020. Flynn has been CEO for 13 years and will become chairman of the board on that date. In addition to Amazon, Atlas added new express customers such as SF Express and expanded flying for the companies DHL Global Forwarding and Asiana
