Chicago-based aviation services provider AAR has announced that president and chief executive John M. Holmes will double up as chairman of the board of directors. Holmes’ nomination followed the retirement of David P. Storch, who was chairman of the 1955-founded company for almost two decades. Holmes has been with AAR since 2001, first as director of mergers and acquisitions, then general manager of AAR’s parts supply business. He took over as president and chief executive six years ago. “Under Holmes’s leadership, AAR has achieved substantial growth in sales and profitability, while successfully navigating the company through the Covid-19 pandemic,” AAR
