TAP M&E has been awarded an eight-year contract to provide landing gear repair and overhaul services for the NATO E-3A AWACS Programme. A first ship set will be serviced before the end of 2013. The contract was signed in a ceremony held in Lisbon. After more than 20 years of cooperation between both parties, this contract shows that NATO, through NSPA (NATO Support Agency), in consultation with IAMCO, International Aerospace Management Company and Prime Contractor responsible for maintaining NATO’s fleet of AWACS aircraft, continues to rely on TAP M&E.
