Brazilian airline TAM Lin-has Aéreas has placed a follow-on contract to an agreement it originally concluded with MTU Maintenance Hannover back in 1999. Under this new agreement, the company will provide maintenance services for another 57 V2500 engines powering the carrier’s A320-family aircraft, in addition to the 84 engines covered by the earlier agreement. The exclusive contract runs until mid-2019 and will generate over €500 million ($700 million) in additional revenues.
