A Southwest Airlines aircraft, Flight 2390, traveling from Columbus to Denver made an emergency landing at Midway to “investigate potential smoke in the cockpit”. “Following airport protocol, the tower sent emergency vehicles to meet the aircraft upon arrival,” said a Southwest Airlines spokeswoman in a statement. “The 112 customers and five crew members will continue to Denver on a different aircraft and are scheduled to arrive about one hour and 30 minutes behind schedule.” No injuries were reported and the aircraft is being investigated by Southwest maintenance teams.
