Pratt & Whitney Canada launches new DIY helicopter engine maintenance kits

Pratt & Whitney Canada gas launched a new set of remote maintenance kits for helicopter engines, which are to be offered under the company’s pay-per-hour maintenance plan. The kits are for the PT6C-67C, PW207C, PW206C, PW206B2/B3 and PW207D1/D2 engines and include specialised cables, an ignition exciter and Stabilant 22, borescope guide tools to perform engine diagnostic tests, spare parts such as fuel and oil filter elements, retaining rings, and seals. “Similar to a first-aid kit, the remote maintenance kit is kept at the customer’s premises or maintenance facility and used on an ‘as-needed’ basis to ensure operational readiness,” said Christopher
