Japan Airlines (JAL) has announced it is will bring back the red-on-white crane as its corporate logo and gradually reintroduced the logo onto the tails of JAL’s aircraft. “We hope customers can once again identify the airline through our new logo as one of quality operations and service,” said a JAL spokeswoman. Reverting to the crane means the recovering airline did not need to spend money on a new design and the red crane is considered an auspicious icon of Japan and will help symbolize a new start for the airline.
