Iberia Maintenance (IM) this week marked the 30-year anniversary of its first c-check on an Airbus A320. Since then the maintenance division of the International Airlines Group (IAG)-owned Iberia has grown to be a key European hub for servicing not only IAG’s fleet of A320s, but those of “multiple carriers”. Over the three decades, according to an Iberia statement released on Wednesday, the IM team has carried out around 4,000 checks at hangars in Barcelona and Madrid.
