A decade old legal battle including Jet Airways and Etihad Airways recently ended with the petitioner withdrawing the application.  In April 2013, Jet Airways sought to sell its 24% stake to Etihad Airways for $325 million. This agreement would in turn lead to the network expansion of both airlines. The agreement was signed in November 2013. However, Indian politician and leader Subramanian Swamy initiated legal action against this agreement, stating that it would harm the local operators. The petitioner also sought criminal investigation into the deal. However, Jet Airways ceased all commercial operations in April 2019 and underwent a restructuring
