VAS taking two Airbus aircraft from Avolon for teardown

VAS Aero Services is to acquire an Airbus A319-100 and an A320-100 from Dublin-based lessor Avolon. The aircraft will be dismantled in Texas before parts are sold via VAS’ aftermarket parts marketplace, which it said is “widely accessed”,. “VAS has established an enviable reputation as a technical and market leader in Airbus aircraft teardowns and USM sales. The expansion of our consignment and disassembly agreement with Avolon Aerospace is further evidence of those capabilities,” said chief executive Tommy Hughes.
