Nok Air has agreed to lease seven Boeing 737-800 jets from GE Capital Aviation Services. The aircraft will help the airline rejuvenate its fleet and support expansion of operations. It will receive its first aircraft in November. Nok Air, 39% owned by Thai Airways International (THAI), has taken the aircraft on five-year leases that will replace four older 737-400s, which includes those leased from THAI. Lufthansa Technik has been commissioned to provide the maintenance, repair and overhaul services for the 737-800s. Nok is also close to concluding another deal to lease four ATR 72-500 turboprops from Nordic Aviation Capital. The
