Ilyushin Finance to deliver one An-124 freighter to Silk Way Airlines

Ilyushin Finance (IFC) has agreed to deliver one An-124-100 freighter, previously operated by Russia’s Polet airline, to Azerbaijan-based Silk Way Airlines. The aircraft will join Silk Way’s fleet of Ilyushin IL-76 and An-12 freighters. IFC said in a statement, “it will be a sound milestone of the airline’s development, boosting its capabilities and competitive advantages at global cargo markets.” In April this year, the US and Azerbaijan signed an open skies agreement for the liberalisation of air transport market between the two countries.
