AWAS has delivered the third of four planned new A320 passenger aircraft to its customer, VivaAerobus, purchasing the aircraft the airline had previously ordered from the manufacturer and then placing it with them on a long term lease. The delivery of this new A320s from a purchase and leaseback deal agreed in 2015 is part of the rollover of the VivaAerobus fleet into an all-A320 operator. VivaAerobus will now operate five AWAS A320 aircraft. These aircraft will help the airline further reduce costs so they can continue to offer lower fares, improved reliability, punctuality and a superior overall passenger experience.
