WestJet net earnings income increased by 33.4% in its first quarter results for 2019. The airline has said that its net earnings came in at CD$45.6 million for the first three months of 2019, compared with net earnings of CD$34.2 million experienced in the same period last year. Its total revenue climbed to CD$1.26 million, up 5.5% from CD$1.19 million in the corresponding quarter last year. “We remain confident in our strategic direction and continue to see positive trends as a result of our prudent growth and the strategic initiatives we are undertaking.” said Ed Sims, WestJet President and CEO.
