Delegation from MRO firm Singapore Technologies Aerospace (ST Aerospace) and Singapore Airlines Terminal Services (SATS) gateway services and food solutions provider were in SriLanka last week for talks to provide services to SriLankan Airlines. As both firms are subsidiaries of Temasek Holdings, media reports have suggested that the SriLankan government was hoping to persuade Temasek to invest in SriLankan Airlines and other loss-making state entities. “For the moment they (Singapore firms) are looking at involvement in units of SriLankan Airlines,” a source told local newspapers. “Temasek may consider investing in the airline but that would be later.
