During the third quarter, Embraer posted a net loss of $10.7 million compared to the $52.9 million net profit made during the period in 2013. The company has been hit by a $77.1 million tax expense “largely” owing to “foreign exchange variation in the period”. Revenue for the commercial aviation unit during the period declined by 3.9% to $660.7 million, with deliveries flat at 19 aircraft – 16 E-175s; three E-190/195s. Overall revenue rose 7.9% to $4.24 billion with an operating profit of $896.2 million, up 5.6%.
